An Evening with Boann

Join us for an exclusive tasting event as we welcome our friends from Boann Distillery to the Navan Whiskey Festival! On Thursday, the 16th of October at 8pm, Bermingham’s Bar will be the stage for a journey through "Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey - The Past, Present and Future." Prepare to be guided through a curated tasting of exceptional whiskies from their groundbreaking Vintage Mashbill Project.

The Vintage Mashbill Project

At Boann, history and innovation intertwine in the Vintage Mashbill Project — a revolutionary collaboration with whiskey historian Fionnán O’Connor, dedicated to reviving Ireland’s long-lost mash bills.

Drawing from centuries-old records, Boann has meticulously recreated ten historic recipes, each distilled with precision and matured in a diverse selection of cask styles. This unlocks the full spectrum of forgotten flavours within Irish whiskey.

A Taste of History

Each limited-edition Solstice bottling celebrates a unique mash bill — from rich, oat-laden pot stills to bold wheat and barley blends — crafted without chill filtration or added colour, and bottled at natural strength.

The Vintage Mashbill Project isn’t just a look back — it’s an experience of Ireland’s whiskey future, shaped by its captivating past!
